Knoxville Team Raises $15,000 For Children’s Hospital

Bowen Engineering’s Knoxville office hosted its inaugural charity golf outing supporting the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital on October 20th.  The event was played at Gettysvue Country Club and was a huge success in that Bowen raised over $15,000 for the hospital!  Bowen reached out to all of its key partners for sponsorships and teams.  A total of 32 sponsors and 15 Teams contributed .

A committee consisting of Bowen team members Devan Welch, Joe Gallagher, Dallas Coplin, Drew Ressequie and Matt Gentry chose the charity due to Bowen’s company involvement with children in need and because children’s hospitals have had a great effect on the families of many Bowen employees.

Located in Knoxville, TN, the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital is a private, independent, non-profit pediatric medical center that has served the children of east Tennessee since 1937.

Bowen Engineering plans to make this an annual charity tournament.

Matt Gentry is a Project Manager, currently working on various projects in Knoxville, TN.  Matt graduated from the University of Evansville and has been a member of the Bowen team since 2000.

Matt, Devan, Joe, Dallas, Drew and all others involved,

The entire Bowen family is very proud of each of you. We are taught that leadership is about looking outwardly and what we can do for others rather than ourselves. This charity event certainly embodies exceptional leadership.
